JEANNETTE SANCHEZ, MS

Counselor

Jeannette Sanchez is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Jeannette earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas, where she received training in counseling children, teens, adults, families, and groups. Jeannette has received specialized training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

 

Jeannette has worked with children, teens, adults, and groups across a number of settings including group/private practice, non-profit sector, agency, and private schools. Jeannette also has experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, disruptive behaviors, life adjustments, trauma, parenting support, and family/relationship issues. 

 

Jeannette practices from an Adlerian based approach to counseling. She starts by offering a welcoming and collaborative approach, ensuring that each client feels safe and supported as they navigate their healing journey together. Her priority is to provide a comfortable and judgment-free environment where clients can freely express themselves and work towards boosting their self-esteem and confidence, ultimately enabling them to feel more equipped to navigate life’s challenges and feel an increased sense of happiness. 

 

When she is away from the counseling room, you will likely find Jeannette spending time with friends and family, staying active, trying new restaurants, and catching up on her favorite tv shows.
