Delaney Allison a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas, and a National Certified Counselor, under the supervision of Rochelle Ritzi, PhD. Delaney earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas, where she received training in counseling children, teens, adults, families, and groups. Delaney previously worked in the Coppell Independent School District for 7 years as an elementary educator, where she first became passionate about partnering with parents/guardians and other mental health professionals to best support the social emotional growth of children and families across the lifespan. 


Delaney’s counseling experience includes working with adults and children with concerns such as anxiety, self-esteem, disruptive behaviors, life adjustments, parenting support, and family/relationship issues. Delaney has additional specialized training utilizing Adlerian play therapy and is working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist. During her time at the University of North Texas, Delaney completed internship at Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas, where she served children and adolescents ages 3-16 who experienced trauma from domestic violence, loss of family member(s), and separation or divorce. Additionally, Delaney has experience working with groups, such as psychoeducational groups with children ages 7-11 to foster emotional awareness and increased emotional regulation.


Delaney strives to offer her clients an authentic nonjudgmental, empathetic, and accepting environment so that she can truly understand her client’s perspective and experiences. She believes the therapeutic relationship is the primary factor for supporting clients through self-exploration and self-understanding that leads to an authentic healing process and growth.


When she isn’t counseling, Delaney enjoys hiking and running with friends and family, choreographed dancing with her brother, and often finds herself doing restorative yoga with one or two of her four cats.
