DANIEL LIAO, B.Ed.
Counselor
Daniel is a graduate student in the Masters of Professional Counseling Program at Oral Roberts University, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Education with a concentration in Counseling and Guidance at the National Chiayi University in Taiwan.
Daniel’s experience includes counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples, and groups, with concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, relationship discord, and various disruptive behaviors. He has experience in, and a passion for, supporting parents, families, and couples with relationship difficulties and various life adjustments. Daniel has led groups in a school and private practice setting to help children of all ages gain emotional regulation and effective social skills.
Although Daniel attends a Christian University, his counseling program follows the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), and Daniel follows the standards set by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council of Professional Counselors. Therefore, Daniel's counselor training and counseling services are not based in religion. However, if his clients express a desire to explore spirituality, he will provide a safe and supportive environment for them.
Daniel is bilingual and offers counseling services in English and Mandarin.
In his free time, when he is not studying, Daniel enjoys spending time relaxing with his wife and two-year-old daughter.
